Clark Frasier and Mark Gaier, the chef/owners of Arrows Restaurant in Ogunquit, have been nominated for a James Beard award seven times. Will tonight be the night they finally bring home the coveted prize?

Frasier and Gaier are nominated in the category Best Chef: Northeast. They were the only Maine chefs to be nominated for an award this year.

The highly regarded chefs are best known for Arrows, located in an 18th-century post-and-beam farmhouse, where they have been pioneers of the farm-to-table movement. Frasier and Gaier also own MC Perkins Cove in Ogunquit and Summer Winter, a restaurant in the Marriott hotel in Burlington, Mass.

The awards will be presented tonight at a black-tie event at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City’s Lincoln Center. Hosting the event will be Lidia Bastianich, chef and host of her own show on public television; Food Network star Alton Brown; and Wolfgang Puck, the well-known chef and restaurateur.

The winners will be announced live on a blog at www.jamesbeard.org
