In our careers, Julia and I have worked with many women as primary buyers or sellers, but it is somewhat incredible to think that it wasn’t until 1974 that single, divorced or widowed women weren’t required to have a male co-signer on a loan. That is not that long ago, take it from me.
Now, women excel in the real estate market. According to the National Association of Realtors® 2020 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, 19% of first-time home buyers and 17% of repeat home buyers were single women, while 11% of first-time home buyers and 9% of repeat buyers were single men.
We are proud to say that we have worked with individuals and families of all types in buying or selling a home. This past year has shown how vital it is for households to collaborate in order to be their best at working, studying, cooking, cleaning, playing and fixing things within and around their walls.
Moms have a special ability to keep these complex operations organized while making everyone feel loved and cared for. To every mother and caretaker who fulfills the role of mom, we see your hard work and appreciate everything you do. And from me to Julia—Happy Mother’s Day. You have intelligence and skills that I will never possess. Our girls and I, we are so grateful for you.
We love where we live, and Julia and I can help you buy or sell a home here too. We’d love to talk to you about your plans to sell or buy, no matter what stage they are in. Call 207-838-1651 or send us an email at ranellogroup@gmail.com.
