Carol G. Cail

SPRINGVALE – Carol G. Cail, 77, a lifelong resident of Springvale, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born on Dec. 25, 1943 to the late Wilford and Frances Gowen of Springvale. Carol graduated from Sanford High School, also the Plus School of Business.

Carol spent her career in banking starting with Canal Bank and retiring 38 years later from Key Bank.

Carol met the love of her life Lester Cail in Portland in 1966. They married in September 1968 and moved back to Springvale. Since her retirement Carol has volunteered with the Sanford Food Pantry, Sanford Mainers Baseball League and also the Lions Club. Carol was a member of the Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church.

Carol is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lester. Carol also had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a graveside service on Friday May 7 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Springvale.
