A MisCast Concert
Streaming through Sunday. City Theater, Biddeford; donations accepted, $1 minimum. citytheater.org
City Theater in Biddeford can’t wait to reopen its doors this summer. In the meantime, you’re invited to enjoy a streaming performance featuring theater troupe members singing songs from musicals that they likely would have never been cast in. The show includes an all-male version of “The Cellblock Tango” from “Chicago” and a female take on the princes’ duet “Agony” from “Into the Woods,” among other fabulous show tunes. Expect plenty of chuckles and you may find yourself singing right along.
Natále Livestream
7:30 p.m. Friday. Streaming via Camden Opera House Facebook page; free, donations accepted.
Camden Opera House’s Soundcheck streaming series continues with a show from Natále. Her music criss-crosses into ’60s and ’70s era soul and funk, while showing off some Middle Eastern vibes. Natále grew up near Philadelphia, lived in Israel for many years and now calls a converted school bus home. Her EP “Giving All To You” was mastered in Maine by Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering. Hop onto Facebook for the performance and consider making a donation to the opera house’s community arts fund while you’re enjoying it.
