Mushers event Saturday

The Down East Sled Dog Club and Gorham Recreation Department are sponsoring a Recreational Mushers Fun Day from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Shaw Cherry Hill Farm on Main Street (Route 25).
Several events are planned following a drivers’ meeting at 8:30 a.m. Demonstrations are set for 1 p.m. For more information, go to the Gorham Recreation Department Facebook page.
No other people or domestic animals will be allowed on the trails during the events. Spectators are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Mushers who are actively racing are not required to wear a mask, however, it is recommended for the start and finishing chutes.
