
Brunswick’s first smoothie and acai bowl shop opened on Jan. 30 at 210 Maine St. in the former home of Smiley’s Ice Cream. Bay Bowls smoothies are made from fruits, nuts, granola, honey, Nutella and peanut butter. The bowls are like thick smoothies based on acai berries from Central and South America, primarily Brazil, and are high in antioxidants. The price is $6.50 for 16 ounces and $7.50 for 20 ounces. It is open ,from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Rosemont Markets throughout the area have a special treat for gifting or for yourself: a six-month pie subscription. The White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport has created “sharing dishes” from Executive Chef Mathew Padilla every Sunday evening in the more casual Little Barn from 5:30-7 p.m. The menu rotates each week and is comfortably priced at $50/couple. Reservations at 967-2321 or through Open Table.
