Boys
Reese McFarlane, Cape Elizabeth golf: McFarlane captured medalist honors with a 71 in the Western Maine Conference state qualifying tournament on Monday at Willowdale Golf Course. He led Cape to first place in Class B with a 317 total. McFarlane had a 9-1 regular-season record in matches and a 37 stroke average.
Honorable mention
Joe Fitzpatrick, Cheverus football: Fitzpatrick scored four touchdowns and rushed for over 300 yards as the Stags got back on the winning track with a 41-7 win over Edward Little.
Jack Hughes, Scarborough football: Hughes completed 14 of 17 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns as the Red Storm beat Biddeford, 34-13. Hughes threw first-half scoring passes of 68 and 64 yards.
Hunter Graham, Greely soccer: A sophomore, Graham scored all four goals in the Rangers’ 4-1 win over Kennebunk as Greely improved to 7-1-2.
Girls
Libby Pomerleau, Thornton Academy field hockey: Pomerleau scored three goals in a 3-0 win over Westbrook to become the school’s all-time leader in goals for a season and goals for a career. She has 17 goals for the season and 35 for her career.
Honorable mention
Arianna Giguere, Waynflete soccer: She scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime win at Gray-New Gloucester that improved the Flyers’ record to 6-1-2. Giguere also scored three goals in a 5-0 win against Old Orchard Beach.
Jenna Soucy, Windham soccer: Soucy led the Eagles with two goals and three assists in a 10-0 win over Biddeford, after scoring two goals and an assist in an 8-0 win at Bonny Eagle.
Megan Tammaro, Falmouth volleyball: Tammaro had 22 assists and 11 service points to lead the Yachtsmen to a 3-0 win over Windham. Falmouth won the games by scores of 25-14, 26-24 and 25-16.
