Army Reserve Pfc. Charles W. Butler has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky. He is the son of Glen and Bonnie Butler of Hollis Center. His wife, Angela, is the daughter of William and Florinda Franklin of Buxton. Butler is a 2006 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School, Buxton.

 

Army Pvt. Nicholas E. Bickford has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Ga. He is the son of Cheryl Guay, Lewiston, and Jon Bickford, Standish. Bickford is a 2009 graduate of Lewiston High School.

 

Navy Seamen Kyle A. Whitmore and Sebastian D. Van Dyck recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Whitmore is the son of Mark Whitmore of Saco, and graduated from Thornton Academy, Saco, in 2003 and from St. Joseph’s College, Standish, in 2007.

Van Dyck is the son of Donna and Christian Van Dyck of Brunswick.

 

Paul F. Loveless Jr. of Topsham has been named president of the Fleet Reserve Association’s New England Region. He will serve on the association’s national board of directors and will be representing shipmates in New England and overseas in the northern Atlantic area. Loveless, a Vietnam veteran, has previously served as the New England regional vice president and as regional president for two terms. He has also volunteered as director of the Retired Activities Office at Brunswick Naval Air Station since 2003.
