BATH — Bath Savings Institution’s President and CEO Glenn Hutchinson recently announced the promotion of three employees.

Mara Pennell has been promoted to vice president of Commercial Lending. Pennell joined Bath Savings in 2015 as a commercial lender. She began her career in the banking industry in 2002. Pennell is a graduate of Bentley College and earned her master’s in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Sarah Piper has been promoted to commercial loan officer. Piper joined Bath Savings as a teller in 2013 with a background in financial services. After working as a commercial lending assistant, she was promoted in 2015 to commercial lender. Piper graduated from University of Southern Maine with a B.S. in business in 2014. She currently serves as treasurer on Tedford Housing’s board of directors and as vice president on the Risk Management Association Young Professionals board of directors.

Marcia Wallace has been promoted to vice president, Retail Loan Department. Wallace joined Bath Savings in 2006 and has more than 22 years of experience in the processing and underwriting of mortgage loans. Wallace is the first Bath Savings employee to receive delegated underwriting authority for FHA government lending programs. She is also a 2015 graduate of New England School of Financial Studies at Babson.
