MAINE STATE MUSIC THEATRE’S Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark, seated, center, led a fabulous “Behind the Scenes” tour of the MSMT’s building on Elm Street in Brunswick for People Plus members this week. The tour included the business offices, painting rooms, apprentice living spaces, massive set building areas and costume fitting space, all located in the former Maine Line Bus garage. Clark described many of the behind the scenes tasks involved in putting on their amazing shows — did you know they put down their own stage floor in the Pickard Theater every season so as to not damage the building’s historic floor? To help kick off the new season, MSMT 2017 performance interns will be at the People Plus Center on Union Street on June 8 to introduce themselves and delight the audience with show tunes.
