AUBURN — Marcus Steinman scored an unassisted goal 15 minutes into the game and the score held as Mt. Ararat High School boys’ jayvee soccer team edged Edward Little, 1-0 on Friday.
The Eagles ( 2- 0) got strong play from midfielders Jax Hollenbach and Dakota Lopez. Nathan Taylor and Nathan Kolfrogh also contributed in the win.
Mitchell Surace made two saves for Mt. Ararat while James Singleton turned away a pair of shots as well in the loss.
Mt. Ararat plays Brunswick at home today at 5 p.m.
