RICHMOND — The Richmond High School boys basketball team won for the second straight time Friday with a 52-30 East-West Conference victory over Seacoast Christian.

The Bobcats improved to 2- 3 and are scheduled to visit Old Orchard Beach on Tuesday.

Richmond posted quarterly leads of 14-6, 27-15 and 37-21 as Ben Carver scored 15, Kade Strout 10, and Nate Tribbett and Brian Snedeker six each. Strout also chipped in with nine rebounds and Carver eight.

Logan Archer scored eight points in the losing effort and Josh Gustafson added seven.

At the foul line, Richmond was three of nine and Seacoast two of two.

Cony 71, Mt. Ararat 57

In KVAC action Friday at Topsham, Josiah Howard poured in 26 points and Walker Cooper added 18 to lift Cony past winless Mt. Ararat.

Zach LaChance and Chandler

Shostak chipped in with nine points each for the 2-4 Rams, who were 15 of 25 from the foul line.

In the Eagles’ offense, Josh Wright had a game-high 32 points, Brett Martin added nine and Brandon Johansen five.

Mt. Ararat, now 0- 6 and scheduled to host Lewiston on Tuesday, was eight of 16 from the foul line.

Morse 32, Waterville 55

In KVAC Class B action on Friday, Morse dipped to 2-4 and is scheduled to visit Mt. View on Tuesday.

Morse trailed 9-6, 20-11 and 35-23 at the quarter breaks.

Waterville’s Josh Gormley and Michael Brailey had 11 points each, while Max Brown and Justin Jabar chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Chris Paulus had seven rebounds and three blocks for Morse, and played solid defense, while Jake Freeman and Began Drouin chipped in with solid contributions off the bench.

Morse was seven of 16 from the foul line and Waterville 12 of 27.
