BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Rotary Club recognized six local high school students during the recently concluded academic quarter for their involvement in community and school activities.
“Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world,” a Brunswick Rotary Club release states. “ Their motto is “ Service above self.”
Staff at each of the students’ schools selected them, based on criteria that includes community involvement and their ability to “truly represent the spirit of Rotary International,” the release states.
The honored students are Nathan Guindonn, a senior at Brunswick High School and a firefighting student at Region 10 Technical High School; Patrick Garrett, a senior at Brunswick High School and a commercial art student at Region 10; Benjamin Strickland, a senior at Brunswick High School; Sarah Thibeault, a senior at Brunswick High School; Margaret Bouchard, a senior at Mt. Ararat High School; and Caroline Minott, a senior at Mt. Ararat High School.
