PORTLAND — Cheryl Poulopoulos, director of Seaside Pavilion Ministries in Old Orchard Beach, will be the featured speaker Tuesday during the Christian Leaders in Maine Business meeting.
CLIMB’s theme will be “The Five Brothers Leadership Academy.” The meeting will be from 7:15 to 9 a.m. at the Italian Heritage Center, 40 Westland Ave.
According to a news release, “In 1999, Poulopoulos left northern Maine and a 23- year insurance career to answer God’s call to work for The Salvation Army. Initially serving in the music and youth departments in the Northern New England Headquarters in Portland, she ‘took over the reins’ at the Seaside Pavilion in Old Orchard Beach in 2002.”
She says she still enjoys the challenges associated with running the 1,400- seat amphitheater. She currently serves on the Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce board of directors as vice chairwoman, having served two years at chairwoman.
Poulopoulos is passionate about God, her family, her community and her career. She spends her leisure time reading, beading, cooking and knitting. She and her husband, Andrew, live in Old Orchard Beach.
