BIDDEFORD (AP) — A 19- year-old Biddeford man and a 20- year- old Wilton woman have died in unrelated car crashes in Maine.
Authorities say 19-year-old Chaz Dorais was killed Sunday morning when the car he was a passenger in hit the garage of a home. The driver suffered injuries not considered life threatening.
Police say speed may have been a factor but the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
The homeowners were at home at the time but unhurt.
An unrelated single-vehicle crash in Freeman Township on Sunday night, not far from Kingfield and Sugarloaf Ski Area, killed 20-year-old Rebecca Maiuri of Wilton.
Police say she lost control of her car and struck a utility pole. Police say speed was a factor in that crash as well.
