ANDOVER, Mass. — Hyde’s indoor track program competed on Wednesday in a five-way meet.
The Phillips Andover boys won with 144 points, followed by Wilbraham (35), Hyde (25), Governors Academy (17) and Tabor (8), while the Phillips Andover girls prevailed with 105 points, followed by Governors Academy (79), Hyde (24), Wilbraham (9) and Tabor (4)).
Dexie Cercos placed in all of her events and was second in the 300-yard dash (44.64), third in the 50 hurdles (9.13), third in the long jump (14-01, personal best), and fourth in the4x400relay. ErikaCorley placed second in the two-mile (16:04.76) and WangXi Wang was fourth in the 1,000 (3:41.39). Erika, WangXi and Mady Preece rounded out the 4×400 relay team (5:36.35).
On the boys’ side, the highlight of the day was Griffin Palola-Harriman winning the 1,000 ( 2: 51.12). Isaac Pfosi grabbed a second in the high jump (5-04) and was fifth in the 600 (1:28.21). Ben Webber placed third in the 50 (6.12), Cody Mitchell fifth in the two mile (11:43.02) and Richard Liu fifth in the 1,000 (3:12.82). Hyde’s4x400relaytookthird in 4:17.26 with Webber, Palola- Harriman, Mitchell and Pfosi.
