BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Town Council will convene at 7 p.m. today at Brunswick Station, 16 Station Ave.
Following the public comment period, the town manager’s report, and committee updates, the council is scheduled to hear and consider:
— An update on town action at 77 Pleasant St.
— Public comments on special amusement licenses for Bowdoin College, doing business as Bowdoin College Dining Service — Magee’s Grill and David Saul Smith Union; and for the Brunswick Lodge of Elks 2043, doing business as the Brunswick Lodge of Elks, 179 Park Row.
— Public comments on an amendment to the Marine Resource Ordinance passed as an emergency ordinance Jan. 17. The ordinance allows Sunday shellfish harvesting from Oct. 16 to April 30 of each year.
— Public comments on zoning ordinance amendments to increase the number of Maine Department of Transportation official business directional signs that are allowed.
— Public comments on two separate tax increment financing districts — one at Brunswick Landing and another at the Brunswick Executive Airport.
— Sending a letter to the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority (NNEPRA) requesting that Maine Department of Environmental Protection site location standards be used in constructing a planned 60,000- square-foot train maintenance facility at a location south of Pleasant Street, between Stanwood Street and Church Road.
— Authorizing Town Manager Gary Brown to negotiate a contract with a construction manager for a planned police station at the corner of Stanwood and Pleasant streets, following a decision by the town’s Police Station Subcommittee on which construction manager should be hired.
— Renewing a lease between the town of Brunswick and the Brunswick Downtown Association on the Brunswick Station Visitors Center.
— Setting a Feb. 21 public hearing to consider submitting a Community Development Block Grant on behalf of Integrated Marine Systems.
— Appointments of members to the Capital Plan Improvement Committee.
— Consent agenda, including: Approval of minutes from the Jan. 17 meeting, approval of a utility location permit for Maine Natural Gas at a location on Bath Road, and approval of a tax abatement for the company, Nerd Force.
