PORTLAND — Play the guitar, bass, keyboards or drums? Love belting out vocals? Always dreamed of being in a rock band? This month the Maine Academy of Modern Music will host a Rock Camp from Feb. 20 to 24.
The camp series “provides young aspiring musicians a place to learn rock ’n’ roll and have fun during the winter break,” states a news release. “This week-long crash course in modern music covers songwriting, recording and tips on how to start a band — everything it takes to get out of the garage and into the studio or on stage.”
Campers must be at least 10 years old. The cost is $300. Camp will run daily from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Breakwater School, 856 Brighton Ave.
To register, visit www.maineacademyofmodernmusic.org/camps or call 899-3433.
