The Morse High School Guidance Office will host a free bus trip to the University of Maine’s Engineering Expo on Saturday for students and parents in Regional School Unit 1 and surrounding communities.
“Maine’s top engineering firms, engineering schools, educators, government agencies, industry and engineering societies will provide hands- on activities and exhibits throughout the field house,” the release states. “The fun, dynamic and positive environment will help encourage our youth to pursue careers in engineering and provide a diverse and vigorous work force for the future.”
The bus will leave Morse at 7 a.m., to arrive at the Expo by 9 a. m., according to a release.
Participants will spend two hours exploring exhibits and take a short tour through the campus, with lunch at the marketplace at the student union. Attendees will be given vouchers.
The bus will return to Bath by 3 p.m.
The cost of the trip will be paid by a grant from the MELMAC Education Foundation.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
