ST. CLOUD, FL — Robert Henry Green, 83, of Orr’s Island, Maine, passed away Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at his winter residence in St. Cloud, Florida.
Bob was born in Duxbury, Massachusetts on July 21, 1928, the son of the late George and Viola ( King) Green. He graduated from Brunswick High School where he excelled in athletics. He later went on to play semipro baseball. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight engineer during the Korean War. After serving two enlistments he enjoyed a successful career as a commercial lobsterman. Bob was a Freemason for over 50 years.
He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
He will be sadly missed by his family. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Grace A. (Lowery) Green of Orr’s Island, ME.; a daughter, Sandra S. Schoenke and her husband George E. of Boca Raton, FL.; two sons, Rock E. Green of Westbrook, ME., and Kirk P. Green of Orr’s Island, ME.
