BRUNSWICK — The new Maine Chapter of Grandmothers Against Gun Violence will hold their first meeting April, 3, 1 p.m. at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St. The meeting is open to anyone interested in helping to stem the surge of gun violence. As an organizing event, people wishing to join the Maine Chapter are encouraged to attend. After a brief presentation by Tyrrell Hunter, MEGAGV’s organizer, a guest speaker, Tom Franklin, president of the Maine Gun Safety Coalition, will discuss his group’s efforts and the fall universal background check referendum.
