TOPSHAM — Two students have earned the right to represent School Administratve District 75 and their individual school on Friday during the Maine State National Geographic Bee at the University of Maine at Farmington.

To qualify, students must be finalists in their school level bees and then take a written test to qualify for the state bee.

Katelyn Cox, a seventhgrader at Mt. Ararat Middle School, and Lisandro Berry- Gaviria, a fourth-grade student at Bowdoinham Community School, are scheduled to compete at UMF’s Hannaford Hall.

State Bee winners receive $ 100 and the “ Complete National Geographic on DVD,” and a free trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the national finals from May 22 to 24.
