FREEPORT — An event called “Wolfe’s Neck Farm Spring Gala and Auction Pitchfork to Plate: An Evening of Champagne and Desserts,” will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. April 27 at the Harraseeket Inn.
The evening, which raises funds for operation of the farm, will feature desserts and champagne, a silent auction with a large selection of local offerings, and a live auction led by auctioneer, Bill Seretta.
Auction items include trips to Tuscany, a wildlife safari adventure in South Africa, a special preview of Maine State Music Theatre’s upcoming summer season coupled with a chicken barbecue and a dude-ranch experience in Wyoming. Also featured this year will be offerings from Wolfe’s Neck Farm, such as natural, pasture-raised Thanksgiving turkeys and a stay in the farm’s oceanfront cottages.
The money raised at the gala supports the mission of Wolfe’s Neck Farm Foundation: to develop and demonstrate best practices in sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly living while protecting 626 acres in Freeport.
For tickets, call 865-4469 or visit wolfesneckfarm.org/ gala.
