The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary continues to collect donations for its annual “Grand and Glorious” yard sale in the former Bookland store at Cook’s Corner Mall, Brunswick. Among items donated for the sale are circus posters shown here by Patricia Laz, chairwoman of the sale’s antiques and treasures section. In the back, the Al G. Kelly and Miller Bros. (founded in Hugo, Okla., in 1938) poster advertises a tiger — presumably one from the show. On the left is a poster from the combined circus of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey sporting “Felix the Clown” and 99 others, with a date of 1933. At right is another King Bros. Circus poster with a flying trapeze act from 1946. Donations are accepted at the back door of the former Bookland from 9 a.m. to noon every Wednesday and Saturday through May 12.
