TURNER — Morse High School visited Leavitt in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference baseball action and won, 8-1, on Tuesday to improve to 2-0.
Liam McDonough pitched a complete game two-hitter for the visitors. McDonough carried a no-hitter into the sixth.
He walked one and struck out one, and went two-for-four at the plate with two RBIs.
Trenton Moore, Gary Stevens, Zack Groat and Aaron Doughty each had a hit, while Ethan Winglass also had a hit and two RBIs.
“Defensively they were great,” said assistant coach Rick Davis. “Winglass, a freshman, stepped up and played first base, and with Gary Stevens and Zack Groat up the middle it was smooth sailing for Liam.”

The host Saints (2-0) jumped out to a first inning 5- 0 lead and cruised to a Mercy Rule Mountain Valley Conference victory in Auburn.
Joe Bryant was 2-for-4, including a double, and Drew Gosselin drove in two runs with a single. Tyler Furtado was 2-for-2 with a pair of singles and an RBI.
On the mound, Ryan Theriault and Bryant combined on a two-hitter with six strikeouts.
Jason Weatherbee doubled and Dylan McMahon singled for Wiscasset (0-2).
McMahon and Eddie Stewart handled the pitching combined to allow seven hits and seven walks with four strikeouts.

Two big hits keyed the Hall- Dale baseball team to a Mountain Valley Conference high school baseball win over Wiscasset on Friday in the season opener for both teams.
Nick Sinclair belted a three-run double in the second inning to give the Bulldogs (1-0) a 6-2 lead. Wiscasset (0-1), which hosts Telstar today at 4:30 p.m., battled back to forge a 6-6 tie, but Matt Plourde ripped a threerun triple in the fifth inning to give the hosts a five-run lead.
Weatherbee was 3-for-4 for the Wolverines, with two singles and a triple. Stewart picked up a single and a triple, while Devin Grover, Zach Ellison and Brandon Bailey each singled twice in the loss.
On the mound, Weatherbee and Ellison combined on five strikeouts and seven walks.

Lewiston darted out to a 4-0 first-inning lead and added five runs in the second for a KVAC win at Brunswick.
Corbin Hyde belted a tworun home run for the 3-0 Blue Devils and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Hyde also doubled and singled.
Chris Madden relieved Hyde to start the sixth, permitting a single to Adam Casey for Brunswick’s (0-3) lone hit.
Pitching for the Dragons were Brett Lancaster and Alex Emery.
Brunswick is scheduled to visit Erskine Academy today at 4 p.m.
Postponements
Soggy fields made for several postponements on Tuesday.
The Richmond/Rangeley doubleheader was rescheduled for Saturday (noon), while the Monmouth/Lisbon contest is now set for May 5 (4:30 p.m.) and the Freeport/Cape Elizabeth match was moved to Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. start.
