BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Hospital psychiatrist David A. Moltz recently received the Dr. Ulrich B. Jacobsohn Lifetime Achievement Award for his work.

The award was presented during the 2012 annual membership meeting of the Maine Association of Psychiatric Physicians.

The award cited Moltz’s “extraordinary and tireless efforts” in “providing and advocating excellent treatment for Maine citizens with psychiatric disorders.”

According to a hospital release, Moltz has been treating psychiatric disorders for 35 years, 22 of which have been in Maine.

Moltz is currently the chief of outpatient behavioral health at Mid Coast Hospital. The department includes the hospital’s Addiction Resource Center that provides treatment to people with alcohol or drug-related addiction problems through offices located at 66 Baribeau Drive in Brunswick and 20 Bristol Road in Damariscotta.
