Unbelievably, winter is over, spring is here and summer is coming! And with the warmer weather comes a change to the Teen Center schedule.
The summer hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. This summer we will once again be welcoming interns from the Upward Bound Program to assist us as summer volunteers.
In the past, this addition to our summer program has provided us with some great mentors/role models for our teen members and has expanded our knowledge as the interns share their varied backgrounds and life experiences.
The added staffing and earlier hours (and of course good weather) during the summer allows for activities such as barbecues and more time outside playing basketball, four square, football, etc. And if there are small groups venturing off-site (accompanied, of course), there will still be staff available at the center.
