WOODSTOCK, Conn. — The Hyde School track and field squads competed in the New England NEPSTA Division III Track & Field Championships, held at the Hyde- Woodstock fields.
The boys placed 17th out of 17 teams, while the girls were sixth out of 20 schools.
For the Hyde girls, it was the Dexie-Katie show.
Dexie Cercos took second place in the 100-meter hurdles, third in the 300 hurdles, and fourth in the triple jump.
Katie Comeaux finished second in both the women’s shot put and discus throw. Her shot put distance of 32-09 was a personal-best by over a foot. Comeaux also finished seventh (out of 27 competitors) in the javelin.
The 4x400relayhadan eighth-place finish with a PR time (by five seconds) of 4:43.49.
For the boys, Hyde’s only scorer on the day was Cody Mitchell, with a sixth-place finish in the 800 and a PR time of 2:08.09.
