STUDENT VOLUNTEERS in Lisbon are raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Philip W. Sugg Middle School eighth-grader Alyssa Briglio introduced a district-wide campaign to “put your muscle behind MDA with your spare change!” Committee members from all three schools joined Briglio at Food City on May 5 for the first of two tag days planned for the project. The group collected $425 thanks to the contributions from Lisbon area residents and a donation of $240 from Food City Manager Jeff Eldridge. The Interact Club chipped in $100 grant.
