An erstwhile burglar left evidence of a failed weekend attempt to break into the snack shack on the recreation fields along Foreside Road.
Interim Topsham Police Chief Christopher Lewis said a town employee reported the attempted break-in Monday at about 7:30 a.m.
Evidence indicated that someone tried to pry a security curtain in place over the serving window off its track and in the process broke one of the sliding windows. However, the person responsible did not gain access to the building.
Police estimate damage caused by the attempted break-in to be $150.
