WISCASSET — Morris Farm will host Fiddle Day at the Farm from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday on the back lawn of the Morris Farm Trust.
“Concert goers are invited to bring their lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a festive day of American country and folk music played by a variety of local fiddlers,” a Morris Farm release states.
Scheduled performers include Old Grey Goose and Frank Ferrel.
“Old Grey Goose plays old-time dance tunes on a variety of acoustic instruments and sings songs of love, work, diversity and achievement from the vast repertoire of American folk history,” the release states.
“Frank Ferrel is widely regarded as a composer,” the release states. “The classic Cape Breton jig, ‘Spin- N-Glo,’ is one of his compositions.”
A food concession will be provided by Treats of Wiscasset.
Tickets are available at the door for $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and children ages 6 to 15. Children age 5 and younger get in free.
If it rains, the show will move indoors
All proceeds from Fiddle Day at the Farm go to support the Morris Farm Trust. For more information, call 882-4080 or email info@morrisfarm.org.
