EDGECOMB — The Saturday summer supper series continues at the Edgecomb Congregational Church on July 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Guests start arriving as early at 4 p.m. for the supper that starts at 5 p.m. People can browse the thrift shop, check out the items on the free table, pick up a book for summer reading or simply share summer experiences. There are often people from away who become friends before dessert is served.
The menu includes homemade baked beans, casseroles, salads and desserts. There will be seating under a tent for those who prefer outside dining.
Supper costs $7 for adults and $3 for children. The remaining suppers are Aug. 18, Sept. 22 and Oct. 20.
The Aug. 18 event is the annual lobster dinner and the price will be announced.
The church is located at 15 Cross Point Road. The church fellowship hall is wheelchair accessible. For more information, visit www.edgecombchurch.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
