Freeport High School

FREEPORT — Freeport High School athletic director Craig Sickles has announced the fall preseason practice schedules.

The preseason kicks off Thursday with an Information Night at 7 p.m. at the Freeport High School Performing Arts Center.

The first week of preseason practice officially begins on Aug. 13

BOYS SOCCER — All boys grades 9-12 at high school soccer field; Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

After first three days of tryouts, beginning on Thursday, practices as follows: Varsity (continue same field and time); jayvees (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the high school); First Team (TBA).

GIRLS SOCCER — All girls in grades 9-12 at high school soccer field. Monday, 8 a.m. to noon (8 a.m. to 9 a.m. team meeting, paper work and forms). Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

FIELD HOCKEY — All girls in grades 9-12 at high school field hockey field. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

CROSS COUNTRY — All boys and girls in grades 9-12, Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. Runners meet on the front lawn of Freeport High School.

GOLF — All golfers in grades 9-12, Monday through Friday, 3:30 at home course, Toddy Brook on Sligo Road in North Yarmouth. Golfers should make arrangements for their own transportation to and from Toddy Brook and appropriate golf attire is required: no jeans or T-shirts.

CHEERING — Boys and girls in grades 9-12 to meet on the front lawn of Freeport High School, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

FOOTBALL — Boys and girls in grades 9-12 as Pownal Road Recreation Field. Monday through Saturday, double sessions, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6;30 p.m..

August 20, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. for away scrimmage; Aug. 21-24, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Players should make arrangements for their own transportation to and from practice.

Football equipment and pads will be issued Sunday night at 6 p.m. in the back door of the high school gym. Players must have a signed contract and physical form and impact permission form to receive equipment and pads.

Brunswick High School

BRUNSWICK — Brunswick High School athletic director Gene Keene has announced that practices for fall sports are scheduled to begin on Monday.

The Fall Sports Information Night for al parents and student/athletes is also scheduled to be held Monday at 6 p.m. in Crooker Theater.

FOOTBALL — At the high school each day, for grades 10- 12; linemen from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30; backs and receivers from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., all players from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

FOOTBALL — For 9thgrade, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the high school.

GIRLS SOCCER — 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day at the high school.

BOYS SOCCER — Each day from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crimmins Field.

FIELD HOCKEY — From 7 a.m. to, 10 a.m., at the high school.

CROSS COUNTRY — From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the high school.

CHEERING — From 10 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the high school.

GOLF — At 3:30 p.m. at Brunswick Golf Club.

All athletes must complete the athletic package before they will be allowed to participate. Packets can be picked up in the high school main office, or by going to the athletics link on the Brunswick High School website.

Mt. Ararat High School

TOPSHAM — All Mt. Ararat high school students are reminded that fall sports begin on Monday. Athletes and parents should refer to the information below for the specific information for each sport.

Fall paperwork packets are available for pick-up in the main office at the high school. Student/athletes must complete all paperwork and have a current physical on file in the athletic department before they are allowed to participate.

CHEERING — Monday at Mt. Ararat High School gym, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

FIELD HOCKEY — Monday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the high school field. Athletes should report at 7:45 a.m. to turn in paperwork

CROSS COUNTRY — Monday at high school track, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

FOOTBALL — Monday at 7 a.m.; all athletes must contact coach True for information regarding overnight camp/permission slips.

GIRLS SOCCER — Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the high school.

BOYS SOCCER — Monday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Woodside School.

GOLF — Monday, 9 a.m. at Highland Green Golf Club.
