WISCASSET — East Boothbay watercolorist Tony van Hasselt will exhibit “My Studio Without Walls: Maine and Beyond,” for the month of August at Maine Art Gallery, 15 Warren St.
Gallery hours are Thursdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays 11a.m. to 4 p.m.
A reception is planned for today from 5 to 7 p.m.
A news release describes the artist as follows:
Van Hasselt is an elected member of the American Watercolor Society, and has been painting for more than 40 years.
A native of the Netherlands, van Hasselt studied with Frank Reilly at New York’s famous Art Students League, has written and coauthored art instruction books and DVDs, and contributes to both American and Dutch art publications.
