LISBON

The Town Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the town office to discuss several agenda items before breaking into a scheduled workshop.

A public hearing will be held to discuss acceptance of a CDBG public service grant. The purpose of the grant would be to provide business and career services at the library to address an increased demand in these services.

The council will consider an ordinance regarding the formation of a finance committee and take a first reading of the ordinance.

In other business the council will consider the 2012-13 road paving schedule and adoption of Department of Health and Human Service and Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention rules relating to lodging establishments; state chapter 201 rules relating to the administration and enforcement of establishments licensed by the Health Inspection Program; adoption of the DHHS and MCDC Maine Food Code; and give a first reading to amendments to Chapter 10, Article V regarding victualer’s temporary permits.

A tax rate update by the assessor is scheduled as well as reports from the finance director, town manager and a report on code violations.

The Town Council is slated to enter executive session to discuss labor negotiations, economic development, and consult with legal counsel regarding code violations.

After the meeting the council has a workshop planned to talk about a contaminated well on Davis Street and to discuss charter amendments.
