Rocky’s Ace Hardware, a family owned business with neighborhood based stores in six states, likes to give back to the communities in which they are located. Throughout the year, the company organizes collection drives and fundraisers, benefiting humans and furry friends alike.

Rocky’s Bath location holds “Community Day” during the month of September, with funds helping to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

“The work done by the Make-A-Wish Foundation is truly life changing,” said Rocco Falcone, Rocky’s Ace Hardware president and CEO. “It is heartwarming to see the outpouring of support by our customers each year to help children in need. Our employees organize the event and we owe a great deal of gratitude to those who attend and contribute to the cause.”

Community Day encourages conversation and comradery over hot dogs and other refreshments. Live radio broadcasts, in-store product demonstrations and a silent auction add to the day’s excitement.

“This year, we were able to raise $6,000 for the foundation,” said Falcone. “Each year, we have a goal in mind and our customers continue to exceed our expectations. This year was no exception.”
