CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Bowdoin College men’s and women’s swimming and diving team took part in the highlycompetitive MIT Invitational last weekend against some of the best competition in the Northeast.

Bowdoin’s top finish came from men’s diver Tom Kramer, who placed second in both the one-meter (302.80 points) and three-meter (254.75) events.

William Shi also carded a strong finish in the 50 freestyle, taking fifth place in 21.39.

On the women’s side, Bowdoin collected a trio of fifth-place finishes. Caroline Watt was fifth in the 1,650 freestyle (18:17.57), Sophia Walker took fifth in 400 individual medley ( 4: 43.17) and Sage Mikami finished fifth in both the onemeter dive (208.10) and three-meter dive (230.90).

The Polar Bears are off until after winter break as they will return to action on Jan 10 with a meet at Worcester Polytechnic Institute beginning at 2 p.m.
