WISCASSET — The Morris Farm Trust’s fall Backyard Farmer workshop series will kick off with “Using Compost as a Soil Additive and Fall Amendment,” presented by Univeristy of Maine Cooperative Extension professor Mark Hutchinson on Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Morris Farm, 156 Gardiner Road.
Backyard Farmer is an adult education series that focuses on promoting sustainable agriculture and stewardship of the earth.
The program is free, but a donation of $8 is suggested. Pre-registration is requested.
