Two sets of services to mark the Jewish high holidays are planned in the Mid-coast.

BATH — Beth Israel Congregation is celebrating the high holidays, beginning this weekend.

Three days of Rosh Hashanah services are planned. On Sunday at 7 p.m., an Erev Rosh Hashanah service will be held.

On Monday, four services are planned. At 9 a.m., the first day of Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated, followed at 11 a.m. with a youth service. Tashlich at the Waterfront is scheduled for 2 p.m.,witha7p.m.service ending the day.

On Tuesday, the second day of Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Yom Kippur will be observed with services on Sept. 25 and 26.

An Erev Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service is planned Sept. 25 at 6:15 p.m.

The next morning, at 9 a.m., there will be a Yom Kippur morning service, followed by a youth service at 11 a.m. A 30-minute Yizkor service starts at 12:30 p.m., and is followed at 4 p.m. by a Torah study and at 4:45 p.m. with Mincha and Neila services.

On Oct. 7, a progressive Sukkot celebration is planned from noon to 2 p.m.

A Simchat Torah service rounds out the holiday season at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Bowdoin College

BRUNSWICK — Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be held on the Bowdoin College campus beginning this weekend. All services are open to the public.

All services will be held in Thorne Hall, Daggett Lounge. The schedule is as follows:

— Sunday, 6:30 p.m., Rosh Hashanah service.

— Monday, 10:30 a.m., Rosh Hashanah service.

— Tuesday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m., Yom Kippur service.

— Wednesday, Sept. 26, Yom Kippur morning service, 10:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m.; study service 4 p.m.; afternoon and Ne’ila services 5- 6:45 p.m.
