LEWISTON (AP) — Eight people have been left homeless following an early morning fire at a Lewiston apartment building.
Firefighters were called to the Lisbon Street apartment house shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday and put out the fire in a matter of minutes.
Fire Chief Paul LeClair told WMTW-TV that some people had to be rescued by ladder, but that nobody was injured.
The fire is under investigation.
