The Disability Rights Center will honor those who have worked to help people with disabilities during its 12th annual awards dinner.
Maine Attorney General William Schneider will deliver the keynote address at the Oct. 12 event at The Hilton Garden Inn.
The 2012 Equal Access for All Award will go to Christina Kouros, a high school student from Cape Elizabeth; the 2012 Helen M. Bailey Advocacy Award will go to Chris Hastedt, public policy director for Maine Equal Justice Partners; and the 2012 Disability Rights Center Business Award will go to KFI, a Millinocket service provider, according to a news release.
The event is open to the public.
