TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School field hockey teams have been busy recently.
The “A” team took on rival Brunswick, falling 1-0, and losing to Tripp 5-1.
Haley Frizzle turned aside 10 shots in the loss to Brunswick, with strong performances coming from Maddy Griffin, Maia Carlson and Rhiannan Hersey.
The Huskies’ goal came from Hannah Escoe, with Ketty Stinson and Lauren Grocholl playing well.
Against Tripp, Caroline Headley converted a pass from Karlie Brillant for Mt. Ararat’s goal, while Frizzle had 11 saves.
Ashley Black stopped three shots for Tripp, with Lilly Black scoring three goals for the hat trick.
Laura Secone and Alana Weaver played well for the Eagles.
The “B” team dropped a 2-0 decision to Brunswick.
Karli Clark had two shots on goal, while Kate Trebilcock and Madison Stover each fired one shot.
Holly Emperats and Anna Rider scored for Brunswick.
In a 5-0 “B” game loss to Tripp, Clarissa LaBourdais had five saves for the Eagles, while Emily Robbins, Autumn Holman and Abby Parry played well.
Caitlyn LeClaire scored four goals for Tripp, while Paige Maheux added one.
