The final list of 25 Cumberland and York County nonprofit organizations eligible for a share of $25,000 from the Town & Country Federal Credit Union’s Better Neighbor Fund charitable giving campaign has been set.
Eight grant winners, decided by public vote, will share the $25,000.
The public can vote until Oct. 31 for any nominee through the Town and Country Federal Credit Union website, www.tcfcu.com.
The eight organizations with the most online votes will be announced Nov. 15.
The finalists, nominated through Town & Country’s Facebook page, are the 25 organizations that best outlined specific project plans to better provide for the communities they serve, Town & Country President & CEO David Libby said.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
