LISBON FALLS — The Sugg Middle School soccer teams hosted Cony on Wednesday.

On a rainy afternoon, the Sugg girls prevailed 4-0.

Most of the game was played on Cony’s part of the field, but defenders Sydney Douglass, Sarah Daigle, Ciera Miller, Zoe Feehan, Emma Levesque and Emily McIntosh helped to keep the shutout.

In the midfield, Chandler Riordan played with aggressiveness to win the air balls, and rookie Amanda Storman played her best game of the season. Jasmin Le and Anna Willey also played well.

The ’Hounds offensive line did everything right. Conchita Thomas scored two goals, the second one on an assist from left wing Kelsea Tilley. Hope Morse scored Sugg’s second goal in the second half and the fourth goal came when Morse and Emma Houle got together, with Houle scoring off a rebound.

Fullback Josh Huston helped limit Cony to five shots, while Stevie Martin was an offensive force.

Jonah Sautter scored off of a centering pass from Dylan George early in the second half. Several minutes later, Cony’s Nate Parlin tied it up, slipping one past keeper Bryant Hall.

With just three minutes left in the game, Ryley Austin put in the final goal for the win.
