To the Editor:

Has anyone else noticed anything weird in District 66? Have you noticed Green political signs popping up on Tea Party lawns?

Have you heard ardent Le- Page supporters saying, with a smile, that they are voting for the Green candidate because they “like his environmental stance?”

“Politics makes strange bedfellows,” but really who would imagine the “unholy alliance” that has been formed between the parties on the far right and the far left. This sort of dirty politics happens all the time, but a candidate of integrity would put a stop to such dirty dealings. What did he promise for his “Faustian bargain?” It is an obvious win for the Republicans.

They help defeat a Democrat who as part of a new Democratic majority could put a brake on the governor’s dismantling of our state government. They will help put into office an ineffective Green who will not be able to accomplish anything. But what was his end of the bargain? Does he expect to caucus with the Republicans and champion their causes? Or will he do anything to win even if it goes against his party’s core values.

So, Progressives of Brunswick, I strongly urge you to examine the Green candidate whose greatest claim to fame is that he almost won last time.

If, however, you want to stop the LePage rampage or help put a brake on it, then vote Democratic and help take back the House.

Wake up Brunswick and see what is going on around you.

All is not as it seems. Vote for integrity, vote Daughtry for District 66.
