The following Veterans Day observances are planned in Mid-coast communities this weekend.

Bath

Members of Smith-Tobey Post 21, American Legion in Bath, will conduct the annual Veterans Day service at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Legion Cemetery, 200 Congress Avenue. From noon to 3 p.m., the Bath Elks Veterans Committee and members are having a lunch of chipped beef over mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread, dessert and beverages for veterans and guests. There is no charge for veterans and $5 for others. Reservations are needed. Call the Bath Elks Lodge at 443-9852 to reserve.

Bowdoinham

Today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a display in the Town Hall on School Street highlighting Bowdoinham veterans from all wars.

Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Town Hall, the Veterans’ Park, which has been reconstructed and revamped in recent months, will be officially dedicated to all of Bowdoinham’s veterans throughout the years. Participating in the dedication will be the Grand Army of the Republic Veterans Group represented by the Richmond American Legion Post, the Knights of Pythias, local veterans and Legislative representatives, as well as Mt. Ararat’s Fife and Drum Corps and the Community School Chorus. A reception will follow the ceremony.

At 3 p.m. on Sunday, Merrymeeting Arts Center is presenting a Bowdoinham USO Show with Kim Kalesti and troupe. The group will offer a show of singing, dancing, music and poetry commemorating those who have served. Everyone is invited, especially local veterans and their families.

Brunswick

A Veterans Day observance will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the veteran’s monument on the Brunswick Mall by Lavallee-Garison Chapter 15 of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Memorial Post 20. The guest speaker will be Brunswick Town Councilor David Watson. Following the ceremony, a meal for veterans and their family will be held at noon at the Brunswick Elks Lodge on Park Row.

Harpswell

A Veterans Day Concert will feature Sammi Angel, offering patriotic and Gospel songs, in honor of our veterans for their service to our country. The concert will take place at the Cundy’s Harbor Community Hall at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Please invite a veteran and bring neighbors and friends. A potluck lunch will follow. The public is invited.

Lisbon

American Legion Coombs- Mountfort Post 158 will serve chili to veterans and their guests at no cost from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the post, 10 Webster St.

Richmond

A Veterans Day parade will start at 11 a.m. at Richmond High School and travel down Main Sreet to Southard, Kimball and Hathorne streets, turn back onto Main Street and return to the schools. Featured will be Emerson- Lane American Legion Post 132 and the color guard, Cub Scouts, an antique tractor assembly and Civil War r-eenactors.

Participants are then invited back to the Emerson-Lane legion hall on Carding Machine Road for lunch.
