BATH — Patten Free Library will host a three-day baby-sitting class designed for people age 11 to 15.
The course is meant to prepare a young person to become a great baby-sitter and show parents they take the responsibility seriously. The course offers practical skills through video presentations, hands-on activities and classroom discussion. Topics include first aid and rescue breathing; making good decisions under pressure; communicating effectively with parents; and recognizing safety and hygiene issues.
Sessions are 2:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27 and Wednesday, Nov. 28; and 2:30 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29. Class size is limited to 10 people. To sign up, call 443-5141, ext. 12.
