The Appalachian Trail Conservancy, has launched a new initiative called the “Walk Off the War,” providing 13 military veterans the a fully funded scholarship to hike the Appalachian Trail.
The objective is to provide veterans a self-directed, selfpaced journey to eliminate the negative effects of war, through walking in nature.
