COMPASS POINT ACADEMY students celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by kicking off a reading campaign. K-12 students began their extravaganza with a trip to the library. Some classes are seeing how many books they can read in 30 days. Others are developing their imagination by writing stories in Dr. Seuss’s style. There have been games galore to ignite students into the world through an adventure in reading. Principal Gayla Maguire said that it is a delight to see children of all ages discover new authors and the joy of books. For more information concerning the “Learning to Read” program, individualized curriculum and nurturing classroom environment, call 443-1330. Kindergarten testing begins Wednesday. Students are now enrolling for September.
