To the Editor:

Abused, really?

Stan Gerzofsky stating that “this community is being abused because it was built near tracks that were never used, nor ever intended to be used, for this purpose.” What?

If you purchase a home near railroad tracks, isn’t there some sort of presumption that one day a train may roll down the them?

I am glad we were able to hear from a (Northern New England Passenger) Rail Authority director, who explained the benefits of having a layover facility.

I don’t live in that neighborhood, but I do live downtown and can hear the trains idling. I think it would be a benefit to have a facility to alleviate that noise and pollution.
